David Leonard - Chairman
Mr. Leonard was first introduced to the industry in 1972 with a placement as Regional Manager for a National Plastics Manufacturer located in Wisconsin. His success had him rise to V.P. of Sales in less than two years.
He followed that placement as Director of Sales for a large national seller of Tabletop Products Manufacturing and selling Dinnerware, Servicing Products and Gift Items to Retailers and Department Stores throughout the country.
His career then took him to a large Seasonal and Industrial Manufacturer in Cleveland, Ohio where he was again Director of Sales and Marketing for a quality company of D.I.Y. Lawn Furniture, Fireplace Equipment, and Basement Support Products.
From there his direction changed with a five year station with one of the largest Industrial Door Companies in the World. Refrigerated, Man, Military, Hanger, Industrial, Bank, and Plarmacutical Doors were Manufactured throughout the International Manufacturing Facilites and supplied to the world's largest Businesses and Governments. As Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mr. Leonard grew this company to higher levels as not seen prior.
In 1978, Mr. Leonard left the Internal Management industry to join with his partners and begin one of the largest Manufactuers Representative Agencies in the country. It grew tremendously for twenty ( 20 ) years .
With the close of the Representative Agency, Mr. Leonard then started working on the development of the National Retail Product Placement Inc, which he heads as Chairman today.
National Retail Product Placement Inc. was created not only to provide to world Manufacturers the finest Sales Professionals Available by Account and Territory, but also to provide a consevative alternative to the constant changing of internal Sales Management. The industry suffers from a constant roll over of people every two to three years. This seems to be a constant and Manufacturers suffer from years of Sales and Management Application lost along with another six ( 6 ) months lost just to ramp up the new person with company knowledge.
NRPP retains over twenty years of internal Sales Management training through participation as Regional, Regional Manager, National Sales Manager, Vice President of Sales and Executive Vice President of Sales for Sales, Marketing, Customer Services, and Manufacturing/Sales Operations.
We were also a Partner in Ownership for one of the largest Manufactuers Representative Agencies in the country. For many years we maintained a steady and profitable growth. We offered National Retailing Service to all accounts with our own Internal Service Division and over fifty ( 50 ) Service People in forty ( 40 ) company service vehicles which were managed by our own management team who travled nationally, in our private aircraft.
